HOTEL MERKUR - WEST STATION, Interlaken – A Smart Stay in the City

The hotel has excellent views and is basic. The rooms were big compared to European standard, but only after intervention of the supplier through which I had booked the rooms. The service was incredibly unkind and mean, although other times they were super friendly and helpful. The location is great right in front of Interlaken West, very central, and right across the road from the train station. The dining was varied with a wide range of fresh fruits and cold cuts, but breakfast hours were limited. Overall, the hotel offers a mix of experiences with some highs and lows.
